The Tragedy of Macbeth — Act 3, Scene 3: A park near the palace.

Three murderers meet in a park near the palace and confirm that Macbeth sent them to kill Banquo. They watch for night to fall and wait by the road, knowing Banquo will soon pass with his son Fleance on the way to the court. When Banquo calls for a light, they attack him. Banquo realizes he has been betrayed and tells Fleance to flee. In the struggle, Banquo is killed, but Fleance escapes into the dark. The murderers then discover that their main target is gone and decide to leave quickly and report what they have done.
