The Tragedy of Macbeth — Act 5, Scene 8: Another part of the field.

Macbeth refuses to kill himself and instead prepares to fight on, but Macduff enters and demands revenge. Macbeth first relies on the witches’ promise that no man born of woman can harm him, then Macduff reveals that he was taken from his mother before full birth. Macbeth realizes the witches have deceived him and continues fighting rather than surrendering. After the battle, Malcolm, Siward, Ross, and the other nobles gather. Ross reports that Siward’s son has died bravely in combat, and Siward accepts the loss with dignity. Macduff returns carrying Macbeth’s head and hails Malcolm as king. Malcolm rewards the thanes, calls them earls, and invites all to see him crowned at Scone.
