The Winter's Tale — Act 1, Scene 1: Antechamber in LEONTES' palace.

In the antechamber of Leontes’ palace, Camillo and Archidamus speak courteously about the friendship between Sicilia and Bohemia. Archidamus praises the expected hospitality of Sicilia, while Camillo insists that King Leontes owes a visit to Bohemia and that the two kingdoms have long maintained their bond through gifts and letters since the kings were raised together as children. Their talk turns to Prince Mamillius, whom Archidamus admires as a remarkably promising young heir. Camillo agrees, saying the boy gives comfort and energy to the people, even making the old feel younger. The two men then leave.
