Cymbeline — Act 1, Scene 3: A room in Cymbeline's palace.

Imogen speaks with Pisanio about Posthumus’s departure and presses him for every detail of how her husband left the court and whether he will send a letter. Pisanio tells her that Posthumus stayed on deck as long as he could, waving to her with his hat, glove, and handkerchief until the ship sailed away. Imogen mourns that she could not give him a fuller farewell and says she would have kept watching him until he vanished completely from sight. She asks when she will hear from him, and Pisanio promises it will be at the first chance. Before they can continue, a lady enters to say the queen wants Imogen’s company, and Imogen agrees to go.
