The Comedy of Errors — Act 4, Scene 2: The house of ANTIPHOLUS of Ephesus.

Adriana questions Luciana about Antipholus of Syracuse’s behavior and learns that he first denied Adriana any claim on him, then said he was a stranger, and finally tried to win Luciana with praise of her beauty and speech. Adriana grows furious at his forwardness, though she admits she still cares for him. Dromio of Syracuse then rushes in and reports that his master has been arrested. Adriana sends Luciana to fetch the money from the house and asks Dromio for details. Dromio jokes confusedly about the arrest and about time itself, while Adriana becomes more alarmed and orders him to take the money and bring Antipholus home at once.
