The Life and Death of Julius Caesar — Act 4, Scene 3: Brutus's tent.

In Brutus’s tent, Brutus and Cassius argue over Brutus’s criticism of Lucius Pella for taking bribes from the Sardians and over Brutus’s refusal to help Cassius cover it up. Their quarrel grows bitter as Brutus accuses Cassius of corruption and Cassius feels insulted, even threatening him. Brutus also presses Cassius for the gold he had requested for the army. The two men cool down after Cassius offers his dagger and Brutus softens. The Poet briefly enters and is driven out. Brutus then learns that Portia is dead. After discussing their military plans with Messala, Brutus later sees Caesar’s ghost, which tells him it will meet him at Philippi.
